Onstage Studios, a professional children's company, will perform a benefit concert to help the family of a West Valley child.
Kaitlyn Delobel, 2, was born with Canavan's leukodystophy - a rare genetic disorder for which there is no cure. Though her parent's insurance doesn't pay for it, Kaitlyn is participating in a 15-child experimental gene therapy study through Yale University Hospital. Her parents, Shawn and Tammy Delobel, need to raise $25,000 to pay for the costs of her next injection, which they hope will keep the acid level in her brain normal.Shawn Delobel has two jobs and the the family also raises money through garage sales.
On July 27, Onstage Studios will perform a concert to raise money for Kaitlyn and her family. The children's group has performed for former President George Bush, Sen. Orrin Hatch and with Muhammad Ali. They also perform at Lagoon and recently performed with Donny Osmond in "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat."
