Gregory Myers Larsen, age 47, of Highland, died July 11, 1998, at his home of cancer.
He was born September 17, 1950, in Salt Lake City, Utah, son of Orr I. and Mildred Ethel Myers Larsen. He married Mary Esther Cook, December 29, 1972, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.Greg graduated from Hillcrest High School and Brigham Young University. He served an LDS mission in Brazil North, 1969-71. He served in the church in many callings including ward organist, Primary teacher, in the Elders Quorum presidency, bishopric, and as bishop of the Highland 10th Ward.
He loved caring for his yard and flowers and he enjoyed traveling throughout the world and studying about the places he would visit. He dearly loved people and had a great influence throughout his life.
Survived by his wife of Highland; three sons and two daughters, Landon (Nena) Larsen, Eric, Devin, and Diana Larsen, all of Highland; Elizabeth (Joshua) Brown, Provo; his father, Orr "Ike" Larsen, Midvale; brother and sister, Brent (Linda) Larsen, Lehi; Annette (Craig) Proulx, Riverton. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Larsen.
Funeral, Wednesday, July 15, 1998, at 11 a.m. in the Highland Stake Center, 9600 No. 6800 West. Friends may call at the Wing Mortuary, 118 East Main, Lehi, Tuesday evening from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday at the church from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services.
