Willard S. Peck 87, passed away on July 10, 1998, at his home in North Salt Lake.
He was born to Carl Peck and Margaret Saunders on August 19, 1910, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Willard owned his own bakery in Payson where he designed and decorated many wedding cakes for his children and grandchildren throughout the years. Willard retired from UTA as a bus driver where he served for 32 years. He was avid fisherman, active in the LDS Church where he served many years and held many positions. He was loved by all his family and will be greatly missed.He is survived by his wife Marjorie H. Knowlden Peck; children, Carol Treglown (Cliff) of West Jordan, Janice Hobbs (Tim) of Kearns; Laraine Blackman (Roger) Taylorsville; Willard D. Peck (Ramona) of Bountiful; Alberta Durrant (Alan) of Riverton; LeRoy Peck (Debbie) of Centerville; two sisters, Tessie Lewis (Boyd) of West Valley; Mavis Larson of American Fork; 47 grandchildren and 85 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by daughter, Carleen Newland; parents, three brothers, and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 14, 1998, at 11 a.m. at the Orchard 12th ward, 858 West 3600 South, Bountiful, Utah. Friends may call Monday, July 13, 1998, from 6 - 8 p.m. at the church and one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will be at the Memorial Estates Redwood Cemetery 6500 South Redwood Road, Salt Lake City, Utah.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to the Hospice organization, 2250 South 1300 West, Salt Lake City, Utah 84119.
