Carl Anthony, author of "Florence Harding: The First Lady, the Jazz Age, and the Death of America's Most Scandalous President," (NY: Wm. Morrow, 1998), $30, will give a lecture about his conclusions at the Utah Historical Society, 300 Rio Grande, Salt Lake City, 1 p.m., Saturday, July 11.

Anthony, who is well known as a biographer of first ladies, will autograph copies of his new book. Anthony has written a two-volume work, "First Ladies: The Saga of the Presidents' Wives and Their Power, 1789-1990," and most recently, "As We Remember Her: Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis in the Words of her Friends and Family."Anthony is currently in Utah in the process of re-creating Warren and Florence Harding's 15,000-mile presidential junket 75 years ago.
