The Orem Public Library is offering a variety of programs for children and families throughout July. The following are included in those programs.

- Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 10:30 a.m. story time is held in the Storytelling Wing. The half-hour program is free. All ages are welcome. At the same time the library provides a Toddler Laptime for the youngest children.- At 7 p.m., Monday, July 20, the winners of the Timp Future Storytellers Competition will perform at the library. The presentation is free to the public.

- Monday, July 13 at 7 p.m., artist Ralph Barksdale will lecture on the creation of Orem Public Library's stained glass "Windows to the Imagination." He will outline the process from the sketch pad to the finished masterpiece. The lecture is timed for sunset when the sun shines through and highlights the stained glass.

- Every Thursday is open chess night at the library from 7 to 9 p.m. Players are invited to bring their own chess sets and find an opponent in the Storywing. Players of all ages are welcome. From 4 to 6 p.m. the library offers Chess for Kids in the Children's Mezzanine.
