An 11-month-old baby boy was taken to Primary Children's Medical Center after he fell down a flight of stairs Monday afternoon, landing on a concrete surface.

The baby, whose identity was not released, was being pushed in a stroller by an older sibling when the accident occurred, said Salt Lake County Fire Capt. Bill Brass. The children were playing at home, 564 E. 4500 South, where the baby apparently "came out of the stroller fairly high up on the stairs," Brass said. He tumbled down seven stairs to a landing, then four more stairs to the concrete floor. It was approximately a 10-foot vertical fall, Brass said.Investigators found no signs of foul play or abuse in the home, Brass said.

The baby was taken by medical helicopter to Primary Childrens Medical Center, where he remains in fair condition.
