Evelyn P. Brown, 90, died quietly in her sleep, July 1, 1998, of causes incident to age.

Born March 23, 1908 in Salt Lake City, UT, to Maude Gallagher and A.M.J. Prichard. Married Cecil E. "Brownie" Brown, October 25, 1926 in Salt Lake City; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints throughout her life, she served in many capacities including that of Stake Relief Society President in both the Burbank and San Fernando, California Stakes for over 15 years. She and her husband resided in Southern California for many years. After his death she returned to the Salt Lake valley, where she has lived since 1978. For several years she actively participated in the Waterbury Camp of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.She is survived by thee daughters, Mrs. Bert O. (Dorothy E.) Ryssman, San Joaquin Valley, CA; Mrs. Wm. W. (Carolyn) Duscavage, Sandy, UT; and Mrs. F. Ross (Susan) Woolley, Fullerton, CA; one sister, Mrs. Raymond S. (Julia) Jones, Boise, ID; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Funeral directors, Glen Haven Mortuary, 13017 N. Lopez Canyon Rd., Sylmar, CA. Service to be held Monday, July 6th, at Glen Haven. Viewing at 1 p.m. with graveside service at 2 p.m.
