The work of artist Kimberly P. Alleman will be exhibited at Day-Riverside Branch Library, 1585 W. 1000 North, through Friday, Aug. 28.

A public reception for Alleman, who completed a five-year art program at Brigham Young University and studied classical painting in Minneapolis for an additional seven years, will be held at the library from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 11."I like to portray the dramatic and the serene, to recreate on my canvas the beauty of the model's personality, spirit, and character - that spark, which is much more than a camera can do," Alleman said.

The artist teaches private art classes and paints commissioned portraits of adults and children.
