A 2-year-old girl diagnosed last month to have overcome brain cancer died after allegedly being shaken by her mother's boyfriend, police said.

Cindy Cordova died Thursday, two days after being taken to Children's Hospital with massive brain injuries caused by severe shaking, police said.Cpl. Diane Richardson, a Prince George's police spokeswoman, said investigators are awaiting the outcome of an autopsy but have charged Francisco Lionel Garcia, 20, in Cindy's death.
