The schedule of tours at the popular Lehman Caves in the Great Basin National Park near the Utah-Nevada border has been announced.

Regular daily tours will be at 8:30, 9:00, 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. and 12:20, 2:00, 3:00 and 4:30 p.m. Two additional tours will be given Fridays through Sundays at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Tours on the hour are for 90 minutes and those on the half-hour for 60 minutes.Park Superintendent Rebecca Mills advised visitors to arrive early, noting tours are limited to 30 people.

Mills said the cave tour schedule will be in effect through Labor Day. She emphasized that the park is in the Pacific Time Zone and not under Mountain Daylight savings time.

A limited number of advance tickets may be purchased from one to 30 days in advance by telephone, using a major credit card. Call 1-702-234-7331. Refunds will not be given for advance sales, and tickets must be picked up a minimum of 15 minutes before a scheduled tour.

Nightly campfire programs will be offered at Upper Lehman Creek Campground and on Friday and Saturdays at Wheeler Peak Campground, Mills said. These will be at 8 p.m. unless canceled because of inclement weather.

Great Basin National Park is located near U.S. 50-6 about 90 miles west of Delta and 40 miles southeast of Ely, Nev.
