Yaphet Kotto, known to TV viewers as Baltimore police Lt. Al Giardello, and his bride will share their nuptials with family, friends and the police department's youth choir.

Kotto and Tessie Sinahon plan to exchange wedding vows July 12 at The Cloisters, a landmark restaurant. The young singers are to perform at the ceremony. Kotto plays Giardello on "Homicide: Life on the Streets," which is filmed in Baltimore.He and Sinahon met in 1983 and tied the knot in a civil ceremony last August. This month's wedding will be a traditional Jewish ceremony.

Kotto said Thursday he and his bride are growing weary of the details of wedding planning. "We'll both be glad when it's over," he said.
