Robert Blair, a professor in BYU's linguistics department, will speak on "reconciliation" at the Brigham Young University devotional address Tuesday, July 7, at 11 a.m. in the Joseph Smith Building Auditorium.

Television broadcasts of the devotional will be in the Varsity Theater and 2084 Jesse Knight Humanities Building. The devotional will be broad-cast live at 11 a.m. on KBYU-TV (Channel 11) and KBYU-FM (89.1).Blair said he would rely on stories from the scriptures and from literature to relate the theme of reconciliation between people and between individuals and God.

He joined the faculty at BYU in 1959 and was the founding chairman of the linguistics department. In 1989, he was named the James L. Barker Lecturer in the BYU College of Humanities.
