Service was held June 27, 1998 in Sunnyside Chimes Memorial Garden for Alfred Twelves, who died June 22nd, of progressive supranuclear palsy at age 77.
Mr. Twelves was born July 21, 1920 in Salt Lake City, where he was raised. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy. In 1957, he moved to Portland, where he owned and operated Twelves Engraving from 1963 until retiring in 1987. In 1948, he married Margaret Thatcher.Survivors include his wife; daughter, Margaret Anne Twelves-Giltner, of Portland, OR; son, Stephen, of Roseville, CA; brother, Richard, of Carlsbad, CA; sister, Faun Twelves-Bennion, of Salt Lake City; and four grandchildren.
Disposition is by cremation. The family suggests remembrances to the Society for PSP, Woodholm Medical Building, 1838 Greene Tree Rd., Suite 515, Baltimore, MD 21208, or Adventist Medical Center Hospice.
