Gracia Clemens Baker Wilde, 87, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, returned home to her Heavenly Father and family on Monday, June 29, 1998. She passed away peacefully in the home of her youngest daughter and son-in-law, Lynne and Bill Barnes.

She was born September 9, 1910 in Bartlett, Iowa, the daughter of Maude G. and Osee Baker. On April 16, 1931, Gracia married E. Melvin Wilde in Paris, Idaho. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. The part of her life she loved the most was spent living on a ranch near Cokeville, Wyoming. Gracia and Melvin moved to Ogden, Utah in 1952 and made their final home in Clearfield, Utah.Gracia worked at the old Dee Hospital for many years. Her favorite time was spent in the pediatric ward as she dearly loved children. She then later worked for Sperry Rand, and the Sprouse Reitz department store.

She and her husband, Mel were active members of the Clearfield First Ward and did temple work for many years at various temples.

She was a loving and wonderful wife and celebrated 66 years of marriage to her dear husband. She loved her grandchildren and spent hours tending them and playing with "her babies". Her greatest joy was playing with them on the floor or having them all sitting on the cupboard up to their elbows in dough helping her make bread.

Surviving are her husband, Melvin Wilde; two daughters, Mrs. Thomas B. Mackay (Bonnie Jean), Sacramento, CA; Mrs. Bill G. Barnes (Lynne), Kaysville; six grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, Robert C. Baker, Vallejo, CA.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 3, 1998 at 10 a.m. at Lindquist's Clearfield Mortuary, 1050 So. State, where friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, and on Friday one hour prior to services. Interment Cokeville City Cemetery at 3 p.m.
