A woman was killed and four other people injured in an auto collision at the mouth of Millcreek Canyon late Sunday.

Killed was:

Kara Shiners, 18, address unknown.

A pickup truck driven by Brett Larsen, 19, was northbound on Wasatch Boulevard. As it turned left onto 3800 South it collided broadside with a station wagon that carried four occupants, said Salt Lake County Fire Capt. Bill Brass.

Larsen was ejected on impact. He was treated at University Hospital and later released, said hospital spokeswoman Dixie Ber-ge-son.

The identity of the driver of the station wagon in which Shiners was a passenger and the extent of his or her injuries was not immediately known.

Passenger Jennifer Reuling, 18, was critically injured and taken to University Hospital, Bergeson said. Passenger David Eskelson, also 18, was treated and released form St. Mark's Hospital.
