Always smiling and cheerful, loving wife and mother, neighbor and friend, Joan W. Glashien, died June 24, 1998 after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease.
Joanie loved square dancing, walking, and music, but most of all being with her family and friends. She was born Sept. 25, 1926 to Sheriff John R. Watson and Sylvia Shaw in Ogden, UT. Married U.S. Army Lieutenant Edward Glashien at the conclusion of World War II. She lived in Bountiful and Ogden, UT and Cincinnati, OH. She was a member of the LDS Church. We will miss her dearly.Survived by her sons, Edward W. IV, Salt Lake City; John R., Bountiful; Dr. Michi Totoki, Denver, CO; and daughter, Jeri Gosch, Los Angeles, CA; sisters-in-law, Orletta Schaller, Marian Radel, and Lorna Joos, all of Cincinnati, OH. Preceded in death by her husband, Edward W. III; son, Timothy James; sister, Avon Fister; brother, Jack Watson; and parents.
Graveside services will be Tuesday June 30, at 10 a.m. at the Bountiful City Cemetery under the direction of Lidnquist's Bountiful Mortuary.
