Grateful Dead guitarist Bob Weir is back on the road this summer with three other surviving members of the band that broke up in 1995 with Jerry Garcia's death.

Weir, Phil Lesch and Mickey Hart are touring with the Other Ones, a seven-piece band that includes singer-songwriter Bruce Hornsby, who first came up with the idea of forming the group to play selections from the Grateful Dead's lengthy songlist. After Garcia's death, Weir was reluctant to play the old songs, saying he didn't want to live in the past. But he softened and has played some Grateful Dead tunes in the meantime with his band Ratdog, realizing he "wasn't yet ready to give some of the material up."
