Our father, Blaine Bolton Chapman, age 86, passed from this life June 23, 1998.
He was born January 28, 1912, in East Millcreek, Salt Lake City, Utah, to Joseph Munroe and Geraldine Bolton Chapman. He was raised in East Millcreek, there he met his sweetheart Zona Baldwin. They were married April 1, 1936 and were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, September 6, 1972. Together they raised their family. Being honest and honorable, he was an example to others, and was recognized and loved for it. He was employed by the Pillsbury Corp., Ogden, Utah, for 26 years. He honorably served in World War II in the Army Air Corps.Survived by his son, Thomas Blaine Chapman (Ruth Ann); his daughter, Joan Chapman; and four grandchildren, Elizabeth, Joseph, Megan, and Jennifer Chapman. He is also survived by a brother and two sisters, James Chapman (Faye), Delores Buhler (Roscoe), and Beverly Crane (Nevel). Preceded in death by his wife; his parents; and two brothers, Eldred Chapman (Berniece) and Jack Chapman (La Rue).
Funeral service will be held Friday, June 26, 1998, at 11 a.m., at the Valley View 12th Ward (2125 East Evergreen Avenue). Friends may call Thursday evening, from 7-9 p.m., at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, and at the church on Friday for one hour prior to the service. Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
