It will be nostalgia time for mom and dad, and for the kids it will be an opportunity to view, as a family, one of the smash hits of yesteryear during the Deseret News/Plitt Theater week of film classics.
The film classics run for seven days at the new Cineplex Odeon Holladay Center Cinemas, 1945 E. 48th South.Among the featured movies are "Close Encounters of the Third Kind," "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid," the superclassic "Ben Hur" and the magnificent Charlie Chaplin hit "Modern Times."
On Tuesday, June 7, the musical hit "Singing in the Rain," starring Gene Kelly will be featured.
Perhaps one of the most popular and well-known romantic comedy hits ever produced, "An Affair to Remember" starring Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr will bring the series to a close on Thursday, June 9.
Admission to the Deseret News Classics is the ad on today's C6. Just take the ad for two free admissions to any of the shows and any show time. The movies will run in matinee and evening performances. All seats are issued on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to availability.
