A West Valley man has been charged with assaulting a former co-worker after shocking her with a stun gun Tuesday.
According to 3rd District Court charges, the man, 49, a former real estate agent, contacted the woman under a false name and said he wanted to see a house that she was trying to sell. The woman agreed to meet him at 8585 S. Redwood Road.Upon the woman's arrival at the house, she realized the man was a former co-worker who had been fired in April for sexual harassment against her, the charges state.
When the woman refused to go with him, he forced her into the cab of his truck. The man then used a stun gun several times on her, according to the charges.
The woman eventually was able to escape. She ran to Redwood Road, where she flagged down a motorist.
An acquaintance of the suspect later called police saying the man was in Springville. The man was arrested shortly thereafter. He is being held in the Salt Lake County Jail in lieu of $200,000 bail.
The man was charged Thursday with aggravated sexual assault, a first-degree felony.
