Virgil Jorgensen, 79, died June 14, 1998 in American Fork.
He was born December 22, 1918 to Daniel H. and Eve Cunningham Jorgensen. He married Wanda Winn, June 6, 1949, in the Logan LDS Temple. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping, fishing, and gardening. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was cherished and adored by his family, and he will be lovingly remembered for his sense of humor, generosity, and tender loving ways. He was an active member of the LDS Church, having held numerous positions throughout his life.He is survived by a son, Kenneth L. Nelson; and a daughter Carol Ann Lund-Peters; five grandchildren; two brothers, Forrest and Glade Jorgensen; one sister, Pearl Pledger. Preceded in death by four brothers: Bernell, Farrell, Drew, Leo; and one sister, Vivian.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, June 18, 1998 at 11 a.m. in the American Fork 4th Ward (455 E. 300 N.). Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Anderson and Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork, and Thursday 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the chapel.
Burial in the Smithfield Cemetery.
