Quinn Seal, 8, has been selected as the winner in a contest to name the city's new shopping center.

Clinton will get a new economic center later this year that will be anchored by Albertson's at 2000 West and 1800 North.Quinn, a second-grader at Clinton Elementary School, suggested the winning name of Clinton Town Center. He said he came up with the winning name while trying to create a catchy, three-word title where all the first letters started with C.

He received $250 in Albertson's gift certificates. Quinn isn't sure how he'll spend all the money but said he will use some of it to help with his family's food budget.

City Manager Dennis Cluff said he likes the name because it denotes a center while avoiding confusion with Clinton City Hall.
