Davis County Republicans are holding a meet-the-candidates night Wednesday, June 17.

GOP candidates in the county face each other in a number of legislative and county-office races in the primary election June 23.The meeting, sponsored by the Davis County Republican Women, starts with a social hour at 6:30 p.m.

Candidates are introduced and speak at 7 p.m. and are available for questions until 9 p.m., said Helen Duggar, Republican women's president.

The event will be in the Davis School District Administration Center, 45 E. State, Farmington.

There are no Democratic primaries in the county next month, so Republicans invite all voters to the meeting because Republicans will be the only candidates on the ballot.

Utah has an open primary system; any registered voter may vote in a party primary.
