Karma Edna Houston, 69, passed away June 13, 1998, at her sister's home.
Born March 30, 1929, in Palo Alto, California, to David Crawford and Julia Ellen Loveless Houston. Karma never married, but dedicated her life to the LDS Church and a career in nursing. She served an LDS mission in Mexico, taught seminary in California, and worked in the ward library for many years.As a registered nurse, she taught nursing in Colorado Hospital and was a head nurse in California. She had many health problems herself, and later in life was able to work for the Deseret Industries.
Survived by her father, David Crawford Houston, Sr.; and a sister, Betty Jean (Fred) Sim. Also survived by eight nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her mother, and brother David C. Houston, Jr.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 17, 1998, at 12 noon at the Monument Park 9th Ward, 1565 South Foothill Drive. Friends and family may call at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 South, Tuesday evening, 6-8 p.m., and at the chapel, Wednesday from 10:45-11:45 a.m. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
