Albert Stone, our beloved son, brother, and uncle returned to his Father in Heaven and the loving arms of his sister, Nancy, in Lincoln, Nebraska on Monday, June 8, 1998.
Albert was born on May 28, 1951 in Driggs, Idaho to Elmer and Annie Stone. He graduated from Teton High 1969 and served an LDS mission in Japan from 1971-1973. He received his Associated Degree from Ricks College in 1973, attended Brigham Young University and received a Bachelors of Arts in 1976 and his Master of Science from Oklahoma State University in 1982. He had been an Associate Professor at the University of Texas, Oklahoma State University, the University of Kentucky and the University of Nebraska.Albert loved life!! He had filled every moment with love, laughter, music, and adventure, whether traveling to Europe while leading a group of students, riding the rapids while river rafting or working on his latest restoration project. He was an accomplished musician and touched many lives with his music. He loved antique cars and attended many antique car shows while showing off his 1938 Chevy sedan that he had restored. Teaching others was a great joy in Albert's life. He spent many years in educating others and helping them accomplish their goals. Even though he had never had children of his own he touched many youth through the love that he gave to his students, nieces and newphews.
He was very caring and thoughtful of others, his family and friends were the main focus of his life, he never missed a birthday without sending a greeting.
He is survived by his parents, Elmer and Annie Stone of Victor, Idaho; his sister, Louise Wrathall and husband, Don of Las Vegas, Nevada; sister, Beth Osborne and husband, Al of Bluffdale, Utah; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 13, 1998 at 1 p.m., Victor 2nd Ward Chapel, Victor, Idaho. Family and friends may call from 12-12:45. Interment will be in the Driggs Cemetery in Driggs, Idaho.
