A teen was shot four times during an argument Thursday night.

The victim, a 17-year-old male, was standing outside a residence at 2554 S. Parkcrest Drive (1860 West) shortly after 9 p.m. when a male, also in his teens, pulled up on a bicycle, said West Valley Police Lt. Kelly Rushton.During an argument, the bike rider pulled out a gun and fired at the victim, Rushton said. The victim was struck at least four times, in his left hand, left thigh, right forearm and left side of the neck.

The victim was taken by medical helicopter to LDS Hospital, where he was listed in fair condition Friday night, according to a nursing supervisor.

Police were looking for a juvenile in his late teens but had not made any arrests late Thursday. Several shell casings were recovered at the scene.

The incident appears to be gang-related, Rushton said.
