Because of his Alzheimer's disease, the only person Ronald Reagan can consistently recognize is his wife, Nancy, Vanity Fair reports.
The Reagans still sleep in the same bed and when Nancy Reagan is away he wanders through their house looking for her, the magazine says in its July issue. "Our relationship is very special," she told Vanity Fair. "We were very much in love, and still are. Thank God we found each other."Forty-six years? Can't imagine it without him."
The magazine said that of the Reagans' children, Nancy Reagan is closest to the former president's daughter, Maureen, from his marriage to Jane Wyman. It said she called Wyman a year ago, although neither of the Reagans had been friendly with her since she and Reagan were divorced in 1948.
