Max Romero, 91, died June 7, 1998. Our beloved father, grandfather and friend passed away peacefully to be with his loving wife, Leonires.

Max was born in El Valle, New Mexico, April 25, 1907 to Placida Vigil and Tomas Romero. He married Leonires Cordova in Penasco, NM, February 18, 1933. Max and Leonires are the last of their generation. He worked for the Union Pacific Rail Road in Green River, WY. In 1964 he was transferred to Salt Lake City where they have lived since.Max is survived by daughters, Thelma Gomez; Lenora (Andy) Hinojosa; Linda Arenivar Hinojosa; Jose (Steve) Hilsendeger; sons, Robert (Jane) Romero; John Romero; 20 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Leonires Romero; and five children.

A special thanks to our sister, Thelma for the extra loving care. Dad was always thinking of others first and always willing to help anyone. The perfect example of what a husband, dad, and grandfather should be. He was a good provider and we will all miss him dearly. We love you dad.

Funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, June 11, 1998 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe, Catholic Church, 715 W. 300 No. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m., Rosary will be at 7 p.m., at Redwood Memorial Estates 6500 So. Redwood Rd. Interment will be at the West Jordan City Cemetery, 1300 W. 7800 So., West Jordan.
