Jonathan Ivan Almodovar Shaia, age 22, passed away Thursday, June 4th, 1998 at LDS Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida July 17, 1975, the son of Raymond Antonio Almodovar and Carolyn Gayle Shaia. Moved to Hot Springs, Arkansas when he was only six months old. He also resided in Florida and most recently in Utah.He had a great ability to enjoy life. He was energetic and had a contagious laugh. He was outgoing, sensitive, and caring. He loved his family and boys. He was good at showing his love for others. Jonathan had a positive outlook even though at certain times the circumstances were less than favorable for him. The times spent together with his brothers this year were important to him.
He is survived by his two young sons, Joshua and Jacob; three older brothers, George, Randy and David Shaia and their families; also, other extended family and dear friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Raymond, and his mother, Carolyn.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 10, 1998 at 1 p.m. at the Winder 9th Ward chapel, 1475 East 4800 South, Salt Lake City, UT. Family and friends may gather for a viewing two hours prior to the service (11 a.m.). Interment alongside his mother at Elysian Gardens, 1075 E. 4500 South. Funeral Directors, Jenkins-Soffe.
