Delbert Francis Norman, of Lehi, passed away June 5, 1998 at East Lake Care Center in Provo, at the age of 101 years, of causes incident to age.
He was born March 11, 1897 in Lehi, Utah, to Richard and Minnie Hansen Norman. He married Claire LaVern Gill in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Nov. 21, 1923. She preceded him in death, April 1, 1987.He was a World War I Veteran, a farmer, carpenter and an active member of the LDS Church. He enjoyed animals, gardening and music.
Survived by two daughters, Mrs. Charlie (Edna) Hawke of Provo; Mrs. Alvin (Elaine) Schow, Lehi; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Kay (Sherlean) Stone, Lehi; one sister, Mildred Zimmerman, Lehi; nine grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren. His son, Delbert Gill Norman, preceded him in death Sept. 2, 1993.
Funeral, Tuesday, June 9, 1998 at 11 a.m. in the Wing Mortuary Chapel, 118 E. Main, Lehi, where friends may call Monday 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday one hour prior to services. Interment, Lehi City Cemetery with military honors by the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
