Karl George Lundgren, 90, of Salt Lake City and Idaho Falls, died June 2, 1998 in Idaho Falls.
He was born October 25, 1907 at Borlange, Sweden to Karl Ludvig Lundgren and Anna Lisa Johansson. He married Lilly Evelyn Lindstrom in Vasteras, Sweden, June 8, 1930. They came to the United States in 1948 with their six children. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple in January, 1949. She died in June, 1966. He married Ingeborg Berglund in 1971. She died in 1976. He married Iris Seijfried September 29, 1984. They were later divorced.He was a High Priest in the LDS Church and served two missions to Sweden. He enjoyed doing temple work and genealogy these last several years.
Survivors include two sons, Bernt Lundgren of Oslo, Norway; and Henrik Lundgren (Hank) of Idaho Falls; two daughters, Margaret Hansen, Bountiful, Utah; and Inger Schmutz of Friendswood, Texas; 33 grandchildren, 61 great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandson. He was preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth and Torsten Lundgren and three grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends in Idaho Falls on Friday at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge, from 7-8:30 p.m. Funeral services will be Monday, June 8, at 11 a.m. at the Salt Lake City LDS Grant 11th Ward Chapel, 3153 South 900 East, where friends can visit with the family one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Wasatch Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home in Idaho Falls.
