A man shows a picture of his son, one of 25 Colombians killed by a right-wing death squad, during a symbolic funeral Friday. The victims were kidnapped May 16 from the northeast oil-producing town of Barrancabermeja, 165 miles north of Bogota, for supposed links to leftist guerrillas. Their bodies were incinerated. Human rights activists have charged that army and police units abetted the kidnappings. Local army and police chiefs have denied involvement in the crime.
