The Multiple Sclerosis Family Seminar will be Saturday, June 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Salt Lake Marriott Hotel, 75 S. West Temple. All Utahns with mul-ti-ple sclerosis and their families are invited.

The seminar offers information on the illness, the latest treatments and coping strategies. This year, three-time Olympic medalist and founder/director of Intermountain Health Care's "Attitude Therapy," Mike Schlappi, will end the seminar with a motivational speech.It will also feature a session designed for caregivers of people with multiple sclerosis and a session for children ages 8 through 14 to help them understand and explore the challenge of having a parent with the illness.

The 1998 Utah MS Mother and MS Father of the Year awards will be presented to Maria Dahlquist of Payson and Mike Cook of Salt Lake.
