1 2 3 4
Bulls 39 25 33 28 -125
Jazz 41 33 28 41 -143
With the Jazz enjoying a 1-0 NBA Finals lead, Karl Malone comes out strong with 12 points and six rebounds in the first quarter. Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen lead a Bulls charge in the second quarter, but Shandon Anderson - who finishes the game with 21 points - paces a strong outing by the Jazz bench just before intermission.
The Bulls make another run in the third quarter, but strong guard play by John Stockton and Jeff Hornacek enable the host Jazz to keep the game out of reach in the fourth period. With the 18-point Game 2 victory, Utah takes a commanding 2-0 lead as the Finals moves to Chicago's United Center.
For the second time in as many games, Karl Malone is named Player of the Game with 40 points, 15 rebounds and a pair of steals. Pippen earns game-high scoring honors with 48 points, while Jordan struggles in another sub-par outing with just 15 points.
