Earl Neville Lowry, 85, passed away, June 3, 1998 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

He was born December 2, 1912, in Carey, Idaho to John Hyrum and Minnie LaDell Taylor Lowry. Married Melba Knowles, April 6, 1940 in the Salt Lake LDS temple. She preceded him in death on August 5, 1980.He worked as a Security Director for both Dugway Proving Grounds and Kennecott Copper Company. He resided in Colorado Springs for many years before moving back to Salt Lake in his later years. He was a member of the Salt Lake City and Colorado Springs Exchange Clubs and was instrumental in placing Freedom Shrines in several Colorado Springs schools.

He is survived by daughter, Karen L. Crowley, of Colorado Springs, CO; son, David (Paula) Lowry, of Salt Lake City; seven grandchildren, David E. (Ana) Anderson, Richard C. Anderson, Chantal L. (Rob) McNeill, Renee and Michelle Lowry, Emily Crowley, Corinne Lowry; and one great-grandson, Dane McNeill.

The family expresses appreciation to the staff at Millcreek Health Center and the Woodland Park Care Center.

Funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, June 6, 1998, at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 So. Highland Dr., where friends may call prior to service from 10:45-11:45 a.m. Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
