Bothered by a fan who had been hounding her outside her home, Rosie Perez did the right thing and went to police.
It was about 2 a.m. when the actress went to New York's 88th Precinct and told police a man had been bothering her by repeatedly ringing her doorbell and shouting her name.On the way back to her Brooklyn home, she spotted the man in the window of an apartment and called 911, Detective George Nagy said.
Police hauled the man in for questioning and on Tuesday charged the 27-year-old with harassment and trespassing. Nagy said police believe it was the first time the man had allegedly been in contact with Perez.
The 33-year-old actress has starred in movies such as "Do the Right Thing" and "White Men Can't Jump."
