A man died last week after he was pulled into the drive shaft of a rock-crushing machine.
Killed was:Deloy Stewart, 56, Bicknell, Wayne County.
Stewart was working near a rock crusher for Terry Jackson Construction at a site south of Loa when the accident occurred, said Wayne County Sheriff Don Torgerson.
Torgerson said it is unclear how Stewart died because no one saw the accident. It appears he was fixing something on the side of the crusher and may have been pulled into the drive shaft. Stewart was conscious and talking after the accident but died as he was being placed in a medical helicopter for transport to a Salt Lake hospital. The medical examiner is investigating.
