The Orem Public Library offers several programs for children and their families. The following are some of the programs offered:

- Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 10:30 a.m. a story time is held in the Storytelling Wing. The half-hour program is free to all ages. At the same time a special Toddler Laptime for the youngest children is also offered.- The Timp Tellers will present "Tales Around the Campfire," at 7 p.m., Monday, June 15. This is a family program and is free to the public.

- Rosemarie Howard will pre-sent a puppet show, "Frog and Toad and Other Friends," at 7 p.m. Monday, June 8. Howard is a staff member of Brigham Young University's Theater Department and president of the Timp Tellers Storytelling Guild. The show is free to the public.

- Every Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. is open chess night. Residents are invited to bring their own chess set and find an opponent to play in the Storytelling Wing. Players of all ages are welcome. Chess for Kids is held from 4 to 6 p.m. on the Children's Mezzanine.
