Venile Owen Holbrook, 67, died June 1, 1998 in Salt Lake City, Utah, after a courageous six-year battle with kidney failure.
Born July 27, 1930 in Bountiful, Utah to Owen and Thelma Freckleton Holbrook. Married Gayle Trimble on July 21, 1961, they were later divorced. Married Faye Densley on June 24, 1994. She died in February, 1997. Served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Member of the Sheriff's Posse. Proud member of the Boilermakers Local #182. He loved to fish and hunt.Survived by daughters, Charm Cooksey (Jim), Jill Gilmore (Ron), Rhonda Holbrook Ponder; son, Nyle Jon Holbrook (Patches); stepdaughter, Sydnee Chapman (Tom); stepsons, Gary Densley (Kim), Casey Densley (Nicki); 17 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; mother, Thelma Holbrook; sisters, Lois Hill (Keith), Louise Argyle (Wayne). Preceded in death by father, Owen; and sister, Eileen Dewall.
Funeral service Thursday, June 4, 1998, at 1 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, where friends may call from 11:30 a.m.- 12:45 p.m.
