Eleanor Skeen Stein passed away on May 28, 1998 in Walnut Creek, CA.

Eleanor was born May 1, 1918 in Salt Lake City to Bertha Kerr and David A. Skeen. She graduated from Utah State University in 1939. She was a member of Chi Omega Sorority.Eleanor received a masters degree in Psychiatric Social Work from the University of Chicago. She taught in the graduate school of social work at the University of Utah for many years before retiring to the Bay Area.

Eleanor married Abe Bernard Stein on September 12, 1947 in New York City. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sisters, LaRae Fonnesbeck and Margaret Morton. Surviving are her sons, Andrew, Oakland, CA; and Joseph, Berkeley, CA; granddaughter, Miranda Freeman, Salt Lake City; grandson, Noah, Berkeley, CA; and two great grandchildren; sisters, Priscilla Codder, Capitola, CA; and Nancy Fowler, Salt Lake City.
