The first of four discussions on "Should We End the War on Drugs?" will be Tuesday, June 2, at the Cathedral Church of St. Mark, 231 E. 200 South.

U.S. District Court Judge Bruce Jenkins will moderate. Panelists include prosecutors and defenders of those who are caught up in the illegal drug trade in Utah: Paul Warner, acting U.S. attorney in Utah, representatives of the Salt Lake and Davis county attorneys offices and private attorneys Mary Corporon, Robert M. Archuleta and Jerome Mooney.The public is invited to attend.

Three more such evening events are planned during the summer. Topics to be examined include "Who Profits from the War on Drugs?" as well as a look at what kinds of treatment are most effective.

The forum will be held in the cathedral's Spalding Hall.
