The Utah Children's Choir won three awards at a competition in Anaheim, Calif.

The concert choir won the Gold Award, Most Outstanding Choir and the Adjudicator's Award, said Kay Asay, choir director. The children's choir competed against 22 high schools and received the highest score. The average age of choir members is 12.Weekly two-hour rehearsals helped the children prepare for the competition.

Auditions for the choir are Saturday at the American Heritage School in Pleasant Grove, at 100 E. 125 North, in the auditorium.
