Sarah Delvora Gurney Pehrson, age 89 of Vernon, Utah, died May 25, 1998 at her daughter's home in Riverton following a stroke.

She was born January 29, 1909 in Lehi, Utah, daughter of William John and Martha Emma Bushman Gurney. Married Sidney Pehrson, September 7, 1932 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died May 4, 1963.She was a homemaker and a member of the LDS Church, where she had served as Primary and Relief Society President, Ward Chorister, and taught and served in all the auxiliaries. She loved to sing, gardening, flowers, and her grandchildren.

Survived by three sons and six daughters, Clayton (Erla) Pehrson, Farmington; Eric (Darlene) Pehrson, Murray; Sidney (Tiiu) Pehrson, Newbury Park, California; Elaine (Willis) Bitner, Salt Lake City; Emma Lou (Douglas) Kirkham, Farmington; Jacqueline Pehrson and Linda Lee (Jim) Ekker, both of Vernon; Lois (Bill) Gattung, Salmon, Idaho; Vicki Jo (John) Smekens, Riverton; daughter-in-law, Lilliemae Pehrson, Mona, Utah; 41 grandchildren; 80 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; brothers, M. Dean Gurney, Vernon; Richard K. Gurney, Cedar Hills.

Funeral, Friday, May 29, 1998 at 11 a.m. in the Vernon LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be in the Salt Lake City Cemetery at 3 p.m. Funeral Directors, Wing Mortuary, Lehi.
