Our dear mother, Lois Midgley Burns, 78, of West Valley City, Utah, passed away quietly, after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

Born August 30, 1919 in Hyrum, Utah, to John and Annie Midgley. Married Melvin Lindegren, later divorced. Married Larry Burns, July 3, 1955. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed bowling, camping and fishing at Soldier Creek, and her family and friends.Survived by four daughters: Sandra (Reed) Kendall, Linda (Mike) Jentzsch, Diane Summer, Laurie (Virgil) Martinez; one son, David (Maria) Burns; sisters, Mabel Bryant, Leah Olsen; 13 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Larry Burns; parents; four brothers; and three sisters.

Friends may call Friday, May 29, from 6-8 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road. Funeral service will be Saturday, 11 a.m. with a one hour prior viewing at the Redwood Chapel.
