Cory takes medications for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.Cory is afraid to get close to people because of past abuse and his mother's abandonment. He does better with men than women. He is reluctant to make friends and tends to be a loner. He is in individual and group therapy to help him deal with his anger. Cory is usually a pleasant child to have around and is cooperative at home.
A two-parent family or single father is preferred for Cory. He would probably be fine with either older or younger children in the home. A family experienced with teenagers and also one that understands the effects of grief and loss on children is wanted. Financial assistance for medical care, therapy and adoption is available.
