A Texas medical device manufacturer will relocate to Springville after receiving a $1 million industrial development bond.

Arlington Scientific, Inc., a private corporation based in Arlington, Texas, plans to purchase a six-acre site at the Springville Industrial Park and build a two-building plant. The bond was financed through the Private Activity Bond Authority, a program of the Utah Department of Community and Economic Development.

The relocation will bring about 26 job opportunities to the city, with an average salary of $37,500, said PABA director Richard Nelson.

Nelson called the salaries "well above average for Springville and the state" in a news release.
