Left his family May 20, 1998 at the Payson Hospital of a stroke.

Frank was born May 28, 1935 in Beaver, Utah to Harvey Heber Ashworth and Ice Vinda (Vinnie) Ward. He married Colleen Mikesell, March 3, 1955 in Monroe, Utah, together they had seven children and one foster daughter, 24 grandchildren and one great-grandson.He served his country in the USAF, where he was a TL at Scotts Air Force Base in Illinois. He worked for Tooele Smelder Refining Co. for 13 years. He worked for F.C. Stangel Co. as a boss for six years. He was a carpenter and a builder. He worked for Sizzler Steak House in Washington, Nevada, Idaho, and Utah for 20 years.

Frank loved to work with his hands. He built his family home in Tooele and remodeled his home in Sterling. He was always helping others. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy.

Survivors are wife, Colleen, who has been at his side for 43 years; children, Ronda Porter, Tooele; Pat Talbot, Magna; Brenda (Craig) Nielson, Centerfield; Curtis (Annette) Ashworth, West Valley City, Pauline (John) James, Salina; Ginger (Mike) Mellor, Annabella; foster daughter, VaunaRay (Bill) Jones, Texas; brothers and sisters, Helen (Don) Stewart, Tooele; Albert (Yvone) Ashworth, Harald (Shirley) Ashworth, Virgina (Ray) Jones, all from Ivins, Utah; father-in-law, LaVar Mikesell, Richfield. Preceded in death by father and mother; brother, Howard; son, Franklin (Tom) Jr.; grandson, James Porter; infant twin grandsons, Cash Lynn and Cash Shaun; mother-in-law, Rhoda Mikesell.

He will be missed greatly by all those who knew him.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, May 23, 1998 at the Olpin Mortuary in Beaver. Viewing from 1 p.m. till 2 p.m. Service will be at 2 p.m. Burial at Beaver Cemetery with Military Honors.
