Ernest Lowell Adams, age 76, died May 17, 1998 in Salt Lake City.

Born April 17, 1922 in Scipio, Utah, third son of James Justice and Sarah Cynthia Collins Adams. Married Una Bulkley June 11, 1943. Their marriage bore six children, Richard L. (Linda), West Valley City; Ernie (Joan), Fillmore; Loyal B. (Tonia), Scipio; Marjorie, Jess E.(Ruifang), Salt Lake City; Debora Odekirk, Parowan. Married Janice Cooper August 6, 1975. Served honorably in the US Marine Corps during World War II in the South Pacific Theatre.Member LDS Church. Served in many capacities including Bishop of the Kearns 4th Ward and the Kearns North Stake High Council. A truly singular individual, a good man, who had minimal requirement for self. Loved by all that knew him.

Survived by brothers, Benjamin Leo, Richfield; Robert Edward, Salt Lake City; 18 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws and many friends. Preceded in death by daughter, Marjorie; one great-grandson; parents; brothers, James Marion, William Wayne, Arrel Jackson; and his only sister, Juanita Cleone Jones.

Graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 20, 1998, 1 p.m. at the Scipio Cemetery, Scipio, Utah. Under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home. "Bye, Sarg, `til we meet again."
