Two Salt Lake County banks were robbed within a 20-minute period Monday afternoon.

Shortly after 3 p.m., a man entered U.S. Bank, 888 E. 4500 South, and gave a clerk a note demanding $50 and $100 bills, said Salt Lake County Sheriff's Lt. Leslee Collins.The man fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. He is described as in his late 20s to early 30s and wearing a white cap, a dark shirt and jeans.

About 20 minutes later, a man entered the Brighton Bank at 7101 S. Highland Drive and gave a teller a note asking for $50 and $100 bills, Collins said. The man fled on foot. He is described with shaggy black hair and wearing a baseball cap.

Neither man displayed a weapon or threatened anyone in the banks. It is unknown whether the two robberies are related.
