Emily M. Plott, age 81, passed away May 17th, 1998.
She was born December 16, 1916 in Salt Lake City, to Dominic and Jennie Madaline Barber. Married Gene Plott on October 19, 1946 in Salt Lake City. He preceded her in death on July 19, 1993. She was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church also Wives Support Group VAMC.Emily was a dear wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She always put the needs of her family above her own and was always the first to help others in need. Her kindness started every day with phone calls to family and friends. She will always be remembered for the beautiful afghans she would crochet along with her famous cookies she baked that all enjoyed. Her feisty wit and conversation will be missed by all that knew her.

Survived by daughters and son-in-laws: Jean Kitt (Ken); Joanne Potter (Randy); grandchildren: Josh and Lindsay Kitt; Dustin and Carly Potter; six sisters, Mary Mayo, Francis Chido, Margaret DeRose, Viola Hatton, Florence Oliver and Elaine Kitterer; five brothers, Albert Barber, Bob Barber, William Barber, John Barber and Dominic Barber Jr. and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband; daughter, Linda; sister, Carmella and brother Gene.
Funeral Mass to be held Wednesday, May 20, 1998 10:30 a.m. at the St. Vincent's Catholic Church, 1375 Spring Lane. Recitation of Holy Rosary will be Tues. at 8 p.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State, friends may call at the Mortuary Tues. from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment, Murray City Cemetery.
